Grab a lemon. Got the lemon? Great. Roll it on your counter to get the juices flowing. Now wash it off. You don't know whose filthy hands have been all over it and you are about to let it float in your drink. You have also just rolled it all over your counter.
Is it clean? Good.
Now cut your lemon into quarters and then cut those slices in half.
Grab a pitcher (or glass) and use the ratio of 2 slices of juicy lemon to 1 cup of cold water and so forth to fill your container appropriately. Now (with clean, washed hands) squeeze all the juices from your lemon slices into the water. The water should take on a slight film. Add approximately 1 teaspoon of sugar per lemon wedge to your water and stir until dissolved. Drop your lemons in when you're through.
If you like it sweeter, add more sugar.
If you like more lemon, add more lemon... of course!
Craving lemon-limeade instead? Repeat the procedure for juicing your lemon with a lime! Roll it, wash it, slice it, squeeze it! BUT ONLY ADD MORE SUGAR IF IT IS NECESSARY! TASTE IT FIRST!
And there you go... three minute lemonade... fast, fresh, and simple.
