Care for an early morning pick-me-up?  Try this recipe for a coffee beverage that is absurdly easy and so inexpensive to make that it's mind blowing!  Behold: The Dark Chocolate Truffle Smoothie, an icy cold creation of my budget-friendly imagination.  The best part?  Each smoothie costs LESS THAN A DOLLAR to make.  That means you can enjoy all the delicious benefits of this smoothie without denting your wallet.

SHOPPING LIST

1 BAG of Archer Farms Dark Chocolate Truffle Light Roast COFFEE
(Approx. $4.99 at Target - but you'll only need to brew one cup per smoothie)

1-2 BANANAS
(depending on how thick you want your smoothie... 1.5 is usually enough)

CARTON OF MILK
(or milk substitute of your choosing... chocolate hemp milk is really delicious!)

LET'S START WITH THE BANANAS!

PEEL your banana(s) and PLACE them onto a cutting board in a horizontal orientation.
Begin to SLICE THE BANANA(S) into a series of approximately 1/4 INCH pieces.
WRAP the banana slices in plastic wrap and FREEZE.

LET'S GET BREWING!
BREW ONE CUP OF COFFEE to your desired strength.
COVER your cup of coffee and REFRIGERATE.

SMOOTHIE LOVERS, START YOUR BLENDERS!

The next part is so easy it's silly...
POUR your coffee, milk (optional), and frozen bananas into your blender.
BLEND until your smoothie reaches desired consistency.

DRINK UP & ENJOY!
