DAILY KICKOFF SMOOTHIE!

My average daily kickoff smoothie: Fresh Coffee cooled by Coffee Cubes, a splash of Cashew Milk, a handful of Frozen Banana Chunks, Organic Chocolate Flavored Hemp Protein Powder, and today... Frozen Raspberries... all blended to perfection.

IS IT EXPENSIVE?  NOPE!

BANANAS:
Bananas run about $0.19-$0.25 each at the grocery.
Each smoothie has roughly 1 banana.

RASPBERRIES:
You can get a whole small carton or a bag of frozen raspberries for $3-4
Each smoothie has roughly SIX INDIVIDUAL raspberries.

COFFEE:
Let's say the average bag of coffee is roughly $5 (which may be high, for some)
At 1-3 scoops per pot of coffee and only roughly 1 cup of coffee per smoothie...
Anything left over, pour into an ice cube tray and freeze as coffee cubes.

CASHEW MILK:
So Delicious Dairy Free Cashew Milk runs about $2.79 per carton.
Each smoothie has roughly a splash to 1/8 cup of cashew milk.

TJ's ORGANIC CHOCOLATE HEMP PROTEIN POWDER:
I'm pretty sure the one I bought from Trader Joe's was $11.99-$14.99.
The whole container has 16 oz of protein powder. Each smoothie takes 2 tablespoons.

I'll let you do the math on that.

REMEMBER: WASTE NOTHING!
Extra coffee left in the pot?  Make coffee cubes.  Pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze it!  Extra smoothie left in your blender?  Make smoothie cubes.  Pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze it!  I highly recommend a silicone ice cube tray, it bends so well to pop out the cubes!  I found one for $3 and I absolutely adore it!  PLUS! Adding smoothie/coffee cubes will cool down fresh coffee quickly WITHOUT diluting it and offer lovely texture to your drink!

The key to enjoying this efficiently each morning:
Buying and freezing my own fruit, making coffee cubes (and sometimes Smoothie Cubes) from the leftover Fresh Coffee, and my beloved Kitchen Ninja.

What's your daily routine?
